Hotel la Cantera info needed
Anyone know about or have stayed at this hotel in El Calafate? Looks very nice, but can't seem to find any info on it other than their website. Need a place to stay one night there and it looks like one of the nicer places.
Thanks.
Thanks.

the Cantera is really a nice hotel. but the std rooms are too small.
Almost all rooms are different. Try to get the superior ones with big windows. Definitely the hotel is nice and service very good.
good luck

Thanks Milla. Interested in any other experience with this hotel, or other recommendations for a nice hotel in El Calafate for a night. We will be staying at Los Notros on our way back.

Post visit report- the hotel is small and pleasant, but the website is rather deceiving (as they all seem to be). The rooms are well appointed, but as milla says, small. The real problem is that the view is in the distance and what is entirely visible in the foreground is really quite ratty. It is a 10-15 minute walk down and up to get to El Calafate. Fine enough place, but seemed overpriced.
Stayed at design suites inadvertently later in the trip. Incredible view of the latke. Very trendy like the W Hotels in the states. 3 km outisde of town but there is shuttle every 30 minutes 2 pm - midnight.
