Hotel for 1 night San Jose

Hello, we're getting into San Jose at 9 at night and leaving the next day for Manuel Antonio. Any suggestions for hotels? We will likely be taking the Express bus from the Coca Cola bus terminal (is that really the name?). Any hotel suggestions for hotels, not too far? Or would it be just as easy to stay closer to the airport and get into the city the next day? Thank you.

We are also flying in at 9pm at night and found thru a few bulletin board the Marriott San Jose. It is right near the airport and has a free shuttle to and from the airport. The reviews on trip advisor are very favorable.

The Coco Cola terminal is in a nasty [DON'T go there at night.....]part of downtown San Jose far from the Airport.

There are several reasonably priced lodgings close to SJO - I would opt for staying close to the airport.

Cheers

I've stayed at Hotel Villa Bonita a few times. It is a B&B about 5 minutes from the airport. It costs around $50 a night and includes breakfast.

In the airport area, Hotel Villa Bonita is our favorite. Can't beat the hospitality of Humberto and Carmen. They are a lovely couple--offer a good breakfast as well! Comfortable and large rooms; also, there is a great Peruvian restaurant down the street a couple of blocks--GREAT seabass (corvina) and ceviche. You'd be glad you stayed!

When we go to Costa Rica, we stay at The Dragonfly Inn both upon arrival and upon departure. Owned and run by Dawn and Michael, they're located in Alajuela and will arrange a taxi for you when you fly in.

They also take into consideration the time for your flight when you leave, will arrange a taxi for you, and will be sure you have a bite to eat before you leave.

Dawn and Michael are fabulous hosts. Their Inn is comfy, with all the comforts of home. What a perfect way to start and end your Costa Rica travels.

If you go, tell them Patty and Jeff from Reno Nevada send hugs!!
