Honeymoon In June

I am planning my honeymoon in Brazil for 2
weeks around the end of June. We would like to go to Iguacu and spend a week on the beach. I was thinking of doing the Northeast but according to the weather history it seems that there is a high probability of getting some rain in June. Some of my friends told me that it isn't that bad but I wouldn't like to ruin the occasion with wild guesses.
Does anybody have any advices to give us? What areas to avoid in June and what areas we can or should go to?

Thank you very much.
Jorge Soares

Hi Jorge

When it rains in the Northeast of Brazil, it doesn't happen for long. It's nice to be there at this time - the temperature is not that high - and the beaches aren't crowded as in the summer. I would suggest the states of Cearį and Alagoas. Rio is a good choice, too, it's still warm in June and you can always enjoy the nightlife.

You're right!!!It does rain in the Northeast during June and July but not the whole area - you can go to Fortaleza (Ceara) and I promise you there will be not even one bad weather. Stay at the Caesar Park. I reccomend you to avoid the Iguazu Falls, it's really nonsense to come to Brazil and don't go to the beach. Rio is a nice option and also Salvador in Bahia that I reccomend you most.
Nino

I suggest you consider going to Fernando de Noronha. It's and island just off the northeast coast.
It's the most beautiful place I've ever been. Just perfect!

Hi..I live in Parana, the state where Iguaçu is, and one thing most don't realize is that June is WINTER... It frosts in our state during June and July.. July is also school holidays so much in the north is full.
The beaches from Maceio up to Fortaleza are great.. there are hotels and resorts for all tastes and pocketbooks.. the rain is warm and generally short-lived... great for washing the salt off.
Definately see Rio but for the Sugarloaf and the Christ...NOT beach... go north and rent a car... a drive from Maceio to Natal woould be great.
Have fun .. Alex, you have to be kidding, your answering a post that is 3 years old. Where did you come from? All of a sudden you come upon this site and start answering questions that are 3 years old? Don't you have something better to do with your time?
