Honeymoon in Cabo

Hi All --
going on my honeymoon in November 03 at cabo san lucas. will be at pueblo bonito sunset beach...i would love any reviews from anyone who's been there. also we love the nite life and i know we will be a little far, but still would like some favorite places. also, has anyone been there during the revolution day (Nov 20)? that's when we'll be there, and would like to know what to expect. if anyone has any pictures (especially of sunset beach resort i would love to see them) thanks.

Haven't been to PB Sunset Beach, but have done PB Blanco and Rose. Be sure to visit DiGorgio's for the sunset (cabbies will get you there). Food is ok there also. Don't do night life, so can't tell you anything about that! Suppose to be wild and crazy if you partake in alchol, so I've heard. Congrats and have a great time.

If you want to be on the sand, request for a suite in Villa 1 through 7. PB Sunset Beach provides golf cart services that would take their guests from the lobby to the villas. Our teenage kids thought that was pretty cool. As you may already know, PB Sunset has free shuttle services between PB Sunset and PB Rose. It's an hourly service. When we were there earlier this month, they provide free bottle water to hotel guests on the shuttle and on the golf carts. The service at PB Sunset was excellent! Congratulations on your honeymoon.

also ... ww ... how did you guys get to pb sunset from the airport and did you rent cars or deal with the shuttle service? does the bus run all the way out there. I'm not sure what suite we'll be in. My fiances uncle owns a timeshare and we traded with someone to get the place at sunset beach. hope its close to the water, but we'll make do

There are shuttle services from the airport to all the area hotels. They charge around $13US per person, one way. PB Sunset offers shuttle service for $15US per person each way. You may want to make arrangements at the concierge for your ride back to the airport.
We did not rent a car. There are local bus service that runs between San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. It's very reasonable.
All suites at PB Sunset have ocean view. The hotel restaurant is good, but a little expensive. There is a deli market with limited grocery for guests. It's your honeymoon, you may not want to cook your meals! We also tried a restaurant called Romeo and Juliet in Cabo. Good seafood dinners and reasonably priced. The Office is a fun place to hang out at Medano Beach. Food is good as well. Hope this helps.

willb: Absolutely do THE OFFICE for the best hamburgers, french fries and atmosphere. It's located right on the beach and a great view of Sea of Cortez. Enjoy!

Honeymoon and CABO! Now there is an oxymoron.

Hookers, strippers, drugs, drunks, dust vermin, overflowing inadequate sewage treatment, overpriced and underclass.

Now about those Taxi Fares. The town is empty, people are staying in the hotels, quess why?

The $%##$ taxi fares are $60 big ones in total to go to town and back. They voted themselves one big increase and you the tourist has to pay.

My friends recently returned from sunset beach and loved it. they couldn't say enough good things about the property or their room. Make sure you tell them you are on your honeymoon.

I am sure you will be upgraded. They had two criticisms: contruction noise (they complained and they got moved a huge suite) and they couldn't swim in the gorgeous beach because of the currents.

They have convinced us to go to Cabo based on their fantastic experience.

Check out www.tripadvisor.com for more reviews of that property. Most reviewers really liked it.

One more thing. they didn't rent a car and took the hotel shuttle from the airport. they took cabs or the hotel shuttle everywhere else. they truly felt that they didn't have to leave their resort.

kindra, thanks for the response. it is great to hear some good things and we are really looking forward to the trip regardless of capt. mike's comments. i did a search and he seems to basically be telling anyone he goes to cabo that they are stupid. kindra, wonder if your friends have any pictures of their stay? love to see some. that goes for everyone. also, i am curious about the revolution day holiday? has anyone been there during that time? just want to know what to expect. thanks

They have not gone digital yet, so no pictures. They loved it so much. They can't believe that we are not going to stay there

I was wondering if anyone has been to PB Sunset recently, I would like to know about any headway made on the construction and if there was any damage from the hurricane. Also has anyone had any experience with the atv desert tours? we are interested in looking into something like that. Beyond that we really just want to have a good time, and eat some good meals, and go to some great bars.
