Holiday travel

Where is the best place to take kids on travel after christmas but on new years that is not going to be too packed full of tourists. But also decently priced, I am up for air b&bs, hotels, condos, etc. ALSO, has to be near a beach/ocean where we can swim and have ocean adventures.

thank you!

The two weeks of Christmas and New Year are going to be "packed full of tourists" at any popular beach/ocean destination. Plus the prices for lodging are often about double on holidays so not a budget-friendly time to travel.

You are traveling at one of the busiest time of the year. Just realize that any beach town is going to be VERY busy and full of tourists. We've traveled in the area at that time and were fine. As long as you adjust your expectations, you will be fine as well.

How about Mayan Riviera? (the Caribbean coast of Mexico, fly into Cancun then head south to Playa del Carmen, Akumal, Tulum).

Again with the disclaimer you are unlikely to find any deals if you have to travel over the holidays. Expect high prices and crowds.
