My son and about seven of his friends are planning to take a trip to Cancun in June to celebrate their high school gradaution. They are looking for an all inclusive hotel with other young adults (18-21). Initially they were looking at Oasis Cancun or Riu Cancun. What are your thoughts about these places?

Are you looking for specific hotel recommendations or the opinions of other parents about the sanity and safety of such a trip?

Oasis Cancun is great. Went there for spring break in college. Was not all inclusive at that time though.

Regarding the "sanity and safety of such a trip" - it is fairly insane and definately unsafe to let high school kids go there. I guess I was there was I was about 20 - so it wasn't too much different but I think you grow up a lot once you spend some time in college.

I was wondering if there were any specific places to avoid. The sanity is another issues, we are just doing some preliminary research.

Unless I wanted my 18 year old to experience a Mexican jail I would never let him go to Cancun escorted. Just Insane!
