Parents will be there with them but we were looking for a place that would be active enough ( not too wild ) but not boring for them.

What are their (and your) interests? Most all inclusive resorts offer activities throughout the day. We prefer the areas south of Cancun since they are not as built up and commercialized as Cancun. Look into the Playacar area. There is a row of all inclusive resorts there and the beach and ocean is great in the area.

If they are 18 they can get served alcohol (maybe or maybe not at their hotel but for sure elsewhere).
