Help w/ Cancun Resort Choice!

My family is taking a trip to Cancun Spring 2005. I'm torn between the Ritz Carlton Cancun and Fiesta Americana Coral Beach.
Is one nicer than the other and what about the service? Any advice would be appreciated!

also check out the brand new FA Grand Aqua.

If it were me, I'd definitely choose the Ritz because of better location, better views...

I have been To Fiesta Americana Grand Coral beach Great hotel lovely restaurants, have no complaints however that was a few years ago, after reading the latest reviews on trip advisor I would choose the Ritz, also Have you thought of JW Marriott heard that is the best hotel in Cancun? go to trip advisor and read the reviews.

Ritz is on the Caribbean side facing east with a real nice continuous beach. FA faces north and has the "bay" side view. If you like surf and beach there is only one choice! Ritz.

I definitely agree with dougout re. the beaches. The FA is on the Gulf of Mexico, little surf and disappointing beach. Beautiful hotel and pool though. Also consider the JW as butsey said. The JW is very close to the Ritz on the Caribbean side, a long white sand, waves beach. Both the JW and the Ritz are beautiful hotels, 5 star, with good pools. IMO the JW has a nicer pool.

I'd choose the JW over the Ritz myself.
