HELP! Turneffe Islands?

Desperately seeking advice on the lodges on Turneffe Islands, specifically Turneffe Island Lodge and Turneffe Flats. My husband and I are interested in a diving / fishing trip and both seem interesting. Which is better and why?
Also, does anyone have any information / comments on Blue Marlin Lodge?
Thanks.

The Turneffee atoll is just exquisite for diving and fishing. I recently stayed at Blacbird Caye in the atoll and just loved it. Great ac cabanas on the beach, meals were plentiful and very good and both the dive and fishing crew there wre just great. If you like to both dive and fish, best to buy at beachcomber package and then book what you want when you want it. BB offers 3, 4 and 7 nts package, whereas the other two lodges only offer 7 nts packages. Blue Marlin is also very nice, on the reef about 10 milers off the coast of Dangriga asnd they are also set up for 3, 4 and 7 nts packags for both fishing and diving. BM has nice ac cottages overlooking the reef and the service there is very good and friendly.

Katie Valk
Belize

Thanks Katie. Blackbird is sold out; that's why I'm looking for information on the other 2 lodges. Have you stayed there? Which one is better? Turneffe Island Lodge is pricier; is it worth the extra $$$?

Did you ever decide what to do? I'm comparing Lighthouse Reef with Turneffe Island Lodge. If you went to the latter, how was it?

Yes, we did decide and came back a few weeks ago from an absolutely incredible week at Turneffe Island Lodge. It's a small island with only a handful of rooms/cabanas. Food was great and both diving and fishing were amazing. We were never more than 6 on the dive boat and essentially never saw any other divers. The only time we did was during the day trip to the Blue Hole and Half Moon Caye. In fact, we did that day see the boat from Lighthouse Reef Resort. There seemed to be an awfully large group on it. Personally, I prefer smaller, more intimate groups. If you'd like more info on Turneffe Lodge, let me know.
