Best Resort in Belize for Avid Snorkelers

We are looking for another resort in Belize Not on Ambergis Caye with excellent snorkeling!! We have been to Hamanasi in Hopkins and liked it and Lighthouse Reef Resort twice when it was still open. We want different high quality and different snorkeling. We know we cannot duplicate Asia but the best we can get in the Americas in a 5 hour flight from NY. Also, we do NOT want to be tag alongs with divers for they most ofen go in deeper waters and we need 10-15 ft. with 50-75ft. visibility. We have been to Roatan 3 times and enjoyed it but as said above need a change of underwater pleasures. We prefer sort of up-scale (4 star-not 5 star level) resort and an all-inclusive would be fine if food is aboce average. Also, accommodations must be air-conditioned. We would fly from NY area to Belize City and then a a puddle-jumper to the resort of 15-30 minutes flight.
Any great idea for a trip for next November? THANKS.

Any of the lodges on Turneffe atoll-Blackbird, Turneffe Flats or Turneffe Island Lodge or Isla Marisol on Glovers. Blackbird has an airstrip, the others accessible by boat or helicopter.

Katie; Is Turniffe Island Lodge equal as nice as Blackbird in terms of accommodations and staff? Do they give snorkelers a fair shake and is the snorkel boat at least a 30+ ft. one with canopy as well plan on going to different spots each day making 2 stops for about 30-40 minutes each? I realize weather permitting. Also their wesites say they go to the Blue Hole.I snorkelered there twice when we stayed at Lighthouse Reef Resort which was only 35 minutes from the Hole, but do they take snorkelers and have someone watching them ?
Thanks!

TIL is probably the most upscale of all the lodges on the atolls. They run trips once weekly to the BH and have guides for the snorkelers. I'm nit sure what size boat they use, that would probably depend on how many people are on the trip. They offer two snorkel boat trips daily.
