HELP!! Need suggestions from seasoned travelers

My fiance and I booked a trip to San Jose last week, leaving out on the 24th of May. Today, we decided to map out our travel plans, only to our surprise to find out we are indeed landing in San Jose, but the agen picked the hotel in Liberia. We've been on the phone the entire day trying to get this corrected. Also,

Question:
How are the roads from San Jose to Liberia?

How are far is the drive to get to Liberia?

We welcome any suggestions anyone may have on how we should handle this. THANKS SO MUCH!!

You will need from San Jose airport to Liberia minimum 4 hours with car. Local flight time will be 1 hour 20 minutes.

Are you wanting to stay near Liberia or in Northern Guanacaste specifically? If not, I would definitely cancel the hotel and re-book elsewhere based on your desired itinerary.

If you need suggestions of where to go and what to do, you'll probably get some good feedback if you list your interests and the length of your stay.

Will this be your first visit to CR?

I forgot to say that we just so happened to rent a car at the time we made our reservations. But I've been reading on some sites where people have been saying it would take almost 6 hrs to do the drive.

We were finally able to speak to a Manager at Yahoo travel. We explained our dilemma they are going to call the correct hotel in the morning.

Maybe our first trip to CR will start off on the right foot after all.

Thanks so much to all of you for leaving comments.

No, it's nowhere near 6 hours. Wilbert was correct, 4-4.5 hours. It's a nice drive, very decent road. You'll enjoy it. Good luck on getting everything ironed out!
