Has anyone visited Heliconia Island over by Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui? We are staying at Selva Verde and had planned to spend the next day at La Paz, so I'm replanning that day.

I thought guided tour in the morning either at Selva Verde or La Selva, then a visit to Heliconia Island in the afternoon before coming to Heredia to meet friends.

Moon Handbook highly recommended Heliconia Island garden - full of tropical heliconias/gingers, cannas, birds, but I rarely see it mentioned on any forums.
