Guadalajara Restaurants

Hola gang! I'd love to hear about your favorite restaurants in Guadalajara! I want to taste it all, from cantina foods to regional restaurants to nueva cocina.

I'd love to find a place in Guadalajara or Puerto Vallarta that serves papadzules, a Yucatan egg taco covered in green pumpkin seed sauce that we had in a DF cantina years ago. It was just delicious. Anyone know of a place?

We so enjoyed the Sacromonto Restaurant, Pedro Moreno 1398, Phone 3/825-5447 that we returned for a second dinner on our week long Honeymoon in Guadalajara. Nouvelle Mexican specialties to die for!

I think I've read about Sacromonte - aren't they the ones with the rose-petal quesadillas in strawberry sauce? I can't even imagine what that would taste like, but I've seen it mentionned enough that I really want to try it [and then recreate it to impress my friends at home!].

Not sure about the Strawberry sauce but would rate it the second best restaurant I have eaten in all of Mexico. The Best being The Cicero Centenario in The Historic District of Mexico City a restaurant that I would rate in the top ten of restaurants I have eaten in anywhere in the world.

I really like La Bodeguita del Medio, I think it was on Av. Vallarta. Cuban restaurant- a bit more expensive than i thought but really, really good mojitos!!
There's some good ones here too. Casa Bariachi was good as well.
