Edzna

I'm trying to determine whether I can visit Edzna from Campeche in a half day. Do any of you know where I can find the bus schedules or learn about other options?

Thanks in advance!

Edzna is only 37 miles from Campeche, so could certainly be done in a half day. We're checking with the Campeche Secretary of Tourism for bus info, and will post answers soon.

According to the Secretary of Tourism for the State of Campeche, there are no bus lines out to Edzna. Please check out http://www.campechetravel.com/PAGESW...turisticos.htm
for travel agency information. The site, www.campechetravel.com is very useful!

I guess that explains why I couldn't find the bus schedules! I really appreciate the information, YucatanToday, and will look forward to exploring that helpful web-site on Campeche. (Have I mentioned that I think the Yucatan Today web-site is wonderful? Thanks for that, too!) Maybe I can arrange to see Edzna with one of the local tour operators.

Thanks again!

In case others want to reach Edzna from Campeche, I found that Xtampak Tours in Campeche on Calle 57 between Calles 10 and 12 will arrange transportation to Edzna. For a 4 hour trip (1 hour each way and 2 hours at the site), they charged 150 pesos per person, with a minimum 2-person (i.e., 300 peso) charge. That covered transportion only, not a guide. (It is an easy site to see on one's own.) One could probably also make independent arrangements with a taxi driver.
