Don't Wait buy Christmas air tickets to Cabo ASAP!
I just bought airplane tickets to Cabo for Xmas to New Year's week. Last year I paid approx. $275 per ticket. This year I waited until 6/21, thinking I would redeem reward points for free tixs. No such luck, Mexicana had no tickets available in their program. I bought four tickets @ $445 per ticket. When I went to book seats, I realized the plane was showing only 8 seat remaining.

Yes! I have noticed that Alaska air hasn't budged either. Still around $500 for the middle of sept. last year it was $380. Must be their new "no nonsense" ticketing promotion.
Perhaps the Mexican Govt didn't like their Airline being undercut!.

Fuel costs are so high right now I don't know if Alaska's rates will go down. If they fill their planes it might be more economical to cancel some flights and redirect. Who knows. If you don't have the Alaska Airline Visa Platinum card you should look at it, you get a $50 companion ticket anywhere they fly. You would pay $500 for the first ticket and $50 for the second (plus tax).

The $50 companion fare is exactly what I was planning on doing.
Has anyone rented a "villa" in Pedregal? There are young adults who I want to be able to walk into San Lucas for some night life. (no driving!). Pedregal Section seems perfect.
