Dolphin Swim/Cancun or Playa

We will be visitng Cancun(Ritz Carlton) and PLaya del Carmen(Royal Hideaway) for our HM in 2 weeks. We are wondering during which leg we should plan to swim with the dolphins. We want to try and have a plan before we leave!
Thanks for your help!!!

Swimming with captive dolphins is a questionable activity at best. There is a ton of information on the net about why not to do this. Instead, you could find a boat trip that takes you out to view them in their natural, wild habitat?

None taken (offence that is)... I am no dolphin expert for sure, really didn't know that much about the practice, but have since read several articles from posted links about the reality of this. It is awful sad, captive dolphins have a very short lifespan.

Thanks for the heads up. Now that I know that I really have no interest. I would rather lay on the beach sipping a margarita!!
