How have you dealt with drinking water problems in Cabo? We are renting a villa...

We always just bought bottled water, using it for drinking and even brushing teeth. Never worried about the ice in drinks at nicer places, this by law has to be made with purified water. Never got sick, in 18-20 or so trips, probably 60-70 days total. If noshing at a really cheap place (out of the touristy areas) I would just drink bottled drinks (beer or soda) straight from the bottle, just in case the sanitation standards were lower.

There's a supermarket in downtown Cabo, or a large market on the main corridor road between Cabo and San Jose (depending on which area your villa is located) where you can stock up on water, snacks, beverages and other essentials.

Most villas would provide drinking water. One of those big "Sparklette" style jugs in a dispenser in the kitchen. Have you asked about that?

Other than that I buy bottled water in the stores. It's everywhere and not expensive. I don't drink tap water myself, although some people say it's OK.

Here is where we are staying. What do you think? Great point about the water.

Pedregal is a great place, not far from downtown and incredible views from most of the villas! This is where the rock stars own homes. Smart choice.

Check this map ... Pedregal is in the lower-left corner, there's a supermarket, # 43 on the map, near the center, where we buy supplies while staying in town.

WOW! That's all I've got to say I'm no expert in high-end places but I'd think they would supply drinking water, since even my budget places do.

Suze i correct. Many of my neighbors rent their units out all providing a 5 gallon container of drinking water. If they run out replacement are available for 25 pesos.
