cruce de los lagos
We are considering the 1 day Bariloche - Puerto Varas crossing, but we'll have luggage. Are the multiple bus-boat-bus... transfers included or do we have to carry all the stuff ourselves?
Thanks.

This is a good question, we had luggage and since I do not remember any problem I am sure that it is taken care of by the transportation company. You can check with them directly, they have a nice www,
crucedelagos.ch , you can e mail them too.
If the weather is nice this is a wonderful crossing.

The tour company is very organized and takes very good care of your luggage, they tag it depending on whether you're doing a one day or overnight. As soon as you board the first bus this is taken care of (we were p/u at our hotel and taken to the bus, where they checked in our lugguge).
It's a wonderful trip, hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
We just kept our "carry-ons" w/our valuables with us the whole time.

Now that Owlwoman has refreshed my memory. The tour company is indeed well organized, it came to my mind a couple of british tourist that were taking the boats but were bicycling in between. The company took good care of all their needs like carring their bikes and leaving on the road ahead of them things they needed. Great service.
I guess you must realize that Argentina and Chile are countries with a long tradition in tourism .
