CR - Interbus question

We’ll be taking the Interbus from Arenal to Manuel Antonio. Do they stop at Tarcoles bridge? Would like to see the crocodiles…
Thanks

We took that route and it only stopped one time to get gasoline and then one bathroom break.

They put nine of us in a jammed packed van that fit 8. I would not recommend them. Go with Grayline. They use small buses that were much more comfortable.

They did not stop on our leg from Arenal to MA, but was told by others they did. I guess I'd just check with your driver to make sure...not sure if we took detour, were sleeping, talking too much or what!

Oh well…I guess we need to go see crocodiles (alligators?) somewhere else. We’ll do the Cano Negro tour in Arenal and the mangrove tour in MA, so maybe in one of these places. Thanks

x, you'll see caimans in Cano Negro, but I doubt that you'll see crocs. We've done it twice and haven't seen them. I wonder if the driver might stop if you ask them ahead of time. There is a little place there to buy souvenirs and use the restroom. Maybe you could conveniently need a potty break! Like hip said, I've heard others say the driver stopped there. I would think most folks on the bus wouldn't might stopping for 5 minutes for a good photo op.

I remember our Sunset Tours guide telling us there were no crocs at Cano Negro. Plenty of caimans there which tend to run roughly the size of our alligators here in Florida.

Hope you can get your Interbus driver to stop at the bridge. The crocs are huge! Definitely bigger than any caiman or alligator I've seen!

xyz - What I meant was that I've ready many other posts where people said Interbus DID stop for them...just ours didn't. So just e-mail or ask!

Our Interbus driver did stop there. He stayed in the van with our stuff so we could get out and look.

OK,
First things first – need to figure out the difference between caimans and crocs. Obviously, different animals…and alligators, possible another animal, too. I’m sure there’s more than just size difference. So Google, here I come…

Kencolian,
Good to know you driver stopped – did you or other passenger asked him to? I will email Interbus and definitely ask our driver to stop…can’t hurt. Thanks

I think you could take on a caiman if you had to - they are smaller and seem kind of scared of people. The crocs we saw were huge and scary. They have different coloration too.
