CR Honeymoon Assistance Please!

So, my fiance and I are getting married in Manuel Antonio this August (we have been to CR a few time and are familiar with many of the areas).
Here is our current itinerary:
-Aug 5th &6th... Hermosa Beach, outside of Jaco (this is a must for surfing)
-Aug. 7-11th... Manuel Antonio (wedding on the 9th, all the family leaving on the 11th)
-Aug. 11th-16th...Bosque Del Cabo

My question is this: we're driving from Manuel Antonio to Osa (Bosque Del Cabo) because there are no flights available. Should we break up the trip and stay overnight in Dominical and just stay at Bosque Del Cabo for three nights instead of four?
What really got me thinking about this was the Nauyaca Waterfalls outside of Dominical, actually! It looks beautiful there and since it is such a long drive from MA to Osa, maybe we should break it up and go see the waterfalls and then spend the night? But, we would be sacrificing a day in Osa.

WWYD?

Also, has anyone ever been to the falls? Do you have to take a tour?

I haven't been to these falls yet, but BdC has a great falls nearby on the Pacific side and about a 30 min. walk down the beach. . .

Having been both places, I'd take all the time I could at BdC!

Should have said, "haven't been to Nauyaca". . . . .we did go to the falls at BdC. Quite exhilarating!

Thanks shillmac. I can always count on you for some great input. We did, however, decide to stay in Uvita for a night to break up the trip. I just knew we would be in the car for 7+ hours from MA to BdC and we ultimately decided it would be better to break it up. My fiance is going to try to surf for a little bit in Dominical on the way down to Uvita, which is a huge plus.
We're staying at Hotel Cristal Ballena. From there, we'll leave super early to get to BdC. We'll only have 2.5 full days (3 nights)...which means we'll just have to plan another trip next year to stay longer!

Took a horseriding tour to Nauyaca falls a few years ago and it was breathtaking. Floated around at the bottom for as long as we wanted. Our group- 5 of us- were the only ones there. A couple of the more adventurous climbed up to the first ledge and jumped off. In fact, I still have the picture as my screensaver- I believe I said it was my favorite place in the whole wide world. So yep, I would recommend!
