Cheap Airfares to Costa Rica!
We just booked airfare to Costa Rica for late November. We are leaving the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
We found airfare on Delta for $416.00 round trip, including all taxes! This is from New Orleans. But a friend coming with us found similar fares coming out of South Carolina.
For all the talk about expensive airfares, I have to say that this is the least we have paid in years. We were happy to pay only $590.00 in July.
You have to go to Delta's web site to take advantage of this. Happy Hunting!
Hope this helps! Let me know if I can offer any more advice.
Warm Regards,

Hey Tully,
$353.00 ain't bad. I would buy it.
Usually, the airline offers X number of seats at one price, and the price goes up incrementally from there. Once one fare class sells out, they start selling the next more expensive fare class until that sells out, etc.
The seats that I purchased a few days ago for $416.00 are now $605.00! I might still find the cheap seats if I adjusted my dates. But the ship has sailed for the flights I am on.
I doubt that the fares will go down much more. You might be risking everything for very little gain. You could log in tomorrow, to find that the price is suddenly $600.00.
Go for it, while the low fares are still there. Just my humble opinion.

I know, I worked for the airlines for years
But not buying anything til I get back from BA, so we'll see where it stands. I know I got my low rate around this time last year, so I'll see with the economy if they have any sales coming up. But I will get it soon, promise - I can't let you have that plunge pool all to mr & mrs shillmac & hvc!

Back in May I found $373 airfare from ORD to SJO for next March. Since the airlines were beginning to cut routes and such, I was hesitant to book it so far in advance. That fare remained even to the end of June when I finally caved. It actually remained there for most of the summer. It has gone up now, but it still is not much more than I have paid in the past.
