Have you tried the hotels in Nuevo Vallarta? They have pretty nice resorts and still close enough to get back to Centro PV if you wanted. Also theres Dreams, Presidente, Vallarta Shores going South from El Centro.

Like a US$20 taxi drive each way and about 1 hour at this time, high season = high traffic.

Please realize that staying out in Nuevo is FAR. It is not "still close enough" in my opinion to easily or cheaply get back into downtown PV.

For resorts I would look at Dreams to the south, or in the hotel zone at the Buenaventura, even Villa del Palmar or some of the time share places. Any would be better than staying out in Bucerias imo.

Have you checked reviews on Trip Advisor for Starbay? I've never heard of it.

Sorry, I was thinking it was a lot better than Bucerias.

no need to be sorry, i think you're probably right about that ;-)

how about i'll just say, both Bucerias and Nuevo are too far away if you want to come into downtown on a daily basis, imo.
