Cancun Palace
I just returned from the Cancun Palace. The staff ,the room, the beach were great but the food was awfull.take the bus if need to they stop in front of your hotel and all the shopping. check out the prices in the gift shopp they are cheeper then the markets and you do not have to do the dickering thing. the Isla mall is great. Have a great time.

ddsmrz, your right but I thought breakfast was pretty good. The beer was good too and some lunches. Dinner was lacking especially the sit down restaurant where you have to make reservations, this restaurant was a joke unfortunataly. But I will say besides the food I had a great time there, the staff was great and so were the tourists.

In May the food was not awful. I can't imagine the food being awful. Of course if it is, when we get there we can always go elsewhere to dine. Do they still have the outdoor grill? We had something from the grill once, and it wasn't bad at all. They will prepare breakfast anyway you want. We enjoyed that.

Amparo, why would I want to go eat some ware else I paid for a AI I would be paying for my food twice. I think the Palace resorts are fine but they claim to to be a 4 star resort they should serve 4 star quality food. that is what I paid for.

As most of you probably know, Cancun Palace is my favorite place to stay in Cancun. I love everything about it, including the food. I will admit the food on the buffets is sometimes not the best, but there are other alternatives. Breakfast is great as they will prepare it fresh the way you like it. Lunch from the grill is especially good also.
Sometimes I think you just hit hotels on a week when their food is not up to par. Or there's the subjective perspective--what someone thinks is tasty, someone else will think the same dish is awful.
