Cancun
We are thinking about taking a vacation to Cancun in September 2001. We are looking at staying at the Imperial Fiesta Club at Hotel Casa Maya. Would you recommend this location for sight seeing, shopping, entertainment, etc.? What about average temperatures in September?

We stayed at the Casa Maya and it was just fine. It is located on the Isla Mujeres bay side so the beaches are great as well as calm. No problem getting around as Cancun has a great city bus system.Sept is during the rainy season as well as hurricane season so it is somewhat risky but lots of people go anyway. Dan

Friends have a timeshare at Casa Maya in Cancun. We all went there for our 25th anniv. together. I can't say enough about this hotel. Clean! They never stopped. Our floor was washed every day, beds made up, bathroom and kitchen cleaned. We loved Isabel! We had a two bedroom facing the beach. Wonderful view. The beach was white spun sugar. Umbrellas and lounge chairs provided. Very hospitable! There was an evening buffet, and a restaurant at the hotel, but we took a short walk up the beach to a little restaurant. We had a great time! Bus stops are close by. Carlos and Murphy's is just down the street, also the Shrimp Bucket. We went on the tour to Tulum. It was great. Be sure to take in the evening show, and go on the river ride. We also went to Chichenitza (spelling?). We were disappointed in the evening show, Tulum was much better. I highly recommend Casa Maya though. I'd go back just for the hotel, and the beach, and the hammocks, and the.....<BR>

Booking a trip to Cancun in September is like rolling a dice, but the odds is pretty good that you WON'T see a hurricane. September is in the middle of the hurricane season. So if you're unlucky enough that a hurricane hits, you'll be stuck in your hotel for 2/3 days. But it's still quite hot and humid in September.
