Cabo Sickness / Bug

Leaving for Cabo this weekend, and we've gotten a couple reports back that there is a nasty bug going around there. Anyone have any details on this? Advice?

Hi, just back from Cabo on the 22nd. My husband and I both were sick the whole trip starting the 2nd day! He had the chills, cramps,aches and had to stay close to the bathroom. I wasnt that bad but the food seemed to make me nauseas and I think the ice got to me. We tried to avoid ice and water, but all the drinks have it, it is very hard. Not sure what made us sick, but we made the best of it!

you may want to take a look at the Gringo Gaz. Oct. 21 P.28 there was a Medical Warning on outbreak of Cholera in La Paz they think from the outdoor kiosks. Meat not properly refridgerated. Chills , aches and cramps could be do to food poisioning. Did you eat shell fish , fish, meat 8 hours before the onset of the symptoms? Most people get sick from tainted meat. C

Well Cabo sewer Systems are very old and do overflow Check the Oct.07/2002 page 7 for the description. Here is a little tune: The Sewage Treatment Plants oveflow If you step in it your complexion will glow Sewage gurgling up through the grates it gets on your skin it irrates Watch as it flows into the streets Don't wear sandals or walk in barefeet The fecal matter drys in the sun it will soon end up on our hamburger bun As it drys it turns to dust it gets blown thru the air by a windy gusts oh what a flavour oh what a taste oh so yummy recycled waste Human waste bubbles into the street it turns to dust gets blown by windy gusts Looking so oozy drying in the sun Soon we will breath it into our lungs Feces here Feces there Feces floating in the Air who really cares I don't want samonella I am such a good little fella I watch it bubble up thru the grates soon to blow onto my tamale plate Why let it go to waste it is a special taste Feces here Feces there Feces floating thru the Air It seems like no one in Cabo really cares
