Buenos Aires Suggestions

Hello: Can anyone suggest their favorite restaurant in BA. We shall arrive for three nights after a cruise, are in our mid=60's and would like to see a tango show. There are so many featured in Fodors and Concierge, but it's nice to get a suggestion from this forum. Thanks.

I usually suggest Esquina Carlos Gardel, for a tango show.

You will have to choose between with or without dinner and VIP or Platea.
As far as restaurants are concerned, we would need to know what you are looking for. The subject has been covered VERY often, both here and in, for instance: http://tinyurl.com/ynytm8

Esquina Carlos Gardel is an excellent choice. A lower price option with a very good show is http://www.taconeando.com/ingles/MENU_e.html

I advise people to stay with the steak option if you go for the dinner show. "Uneven" would be the best way to describe the preparation of other main courses.

Restaurants: So many choices.....
Here is a local guide that you may find useful....ratings are provided by locals.....in English as well as Spanish. http://guiaoleo.com.ar/index.php?lang_id=1

Sottovoce is very good for Italian. I like La Cabrera for steak....

I know that neither avrooster or drdawggy need my blessing but I happen to agree that it is a great choice.
For someone going to Bs As for only three days it is indeed perfect.
