Buenaventura Grand Hotel & Spa

Two adults are going to PV for the first time. Been doing lots of research...narrowed down to Buenaventura Grand Hotel & Spa. Anyone stay here? what are your thoughts?
we want All Inclusive
walking distance to downtown

I was checking out Book It. Com - the deal is Milwaukee, WI. to PV air/hotel - $2,232 for two. Feb. 24- Mar. 3 (7 night stay)
Wondered if this was a good deal.
Thank you.

Good value mixed reviews might pay a little more

for Dreams maybe Casa Magna better properties.

For an all-inclusive in PV which is walking distance to downtown there's only 2 places: the Buenaventura/Villa Premiere or Hotel Playa Los Arcos. Any other AI's are a bus/taxi ride away.

I love Vallarta and have spent a lot of vacations there, but I don't do AI so can't comment on that or the price. I have peaked my head into Buenaventura, talked to the front desk, and it looks like a nice place.

Stayed here in Christmas 2003-New Years 2004, nice place (but I would not do AI, too many good restaurants at reasonable prices, and if you did do AI, there are better choices) but very annoying activities director at the time, put a mike in his hand and he never shut up from 10am until 4pm.

It's a lower end property, but good bang for the buck. What's important other than walking to town? Clubs? Bars? Swimming? Music? Beach to walk on?
