Looking for the Best Bocas has to offer. We have been going to Costa Rica for past 4 years and want to try something new.
The first part of trip in Bocas, the second part fly from Panama City to Quepos and then drive down to BDC for 4th Time.
Any Suggestions would be welcome.

What flight is available from Panama City to Quepos?? This is a new one to me, and one I'd like to know about!
We really liked Dona Mara lodging ($45 per night, tax included and a light breakfast) on Isla Caranera. Very basic, but pleasant. Loved Bocas. . stayed 4 nights.

Hola shillmac, nice to see you at this location as well as CR site.
My mistake, the Nature flight actually goes from Bocas/Limon/Pavas/Quepos. Departs Bocas at 15:30 arrive Quepos 16:45. I think there may be a time zone difference.
This may be a high season only flight and it does not operate on Tues or Thurs.
What time of year were you there?
What did you love about it?
We will be going in beggining of February.
10-Day Itinerary includes: Bocas, Uvita, Cabo Matapalo/Carate.

We also visited Bocas Del Toro in Feb. and had awesome weather. We stayed at Cocomo By The Sea. It's also very basic but completly fit our needs. It was right by the water and had great breakfasts. We were able to hire a little boat as soon as we got there to go out exploring. You can go for lunch on the water and then go for a swim. We could actually see star fish from our boat in the shallow water. We also saw plenty of dolphins and enjoyed a trip to Red Frog Beach. Enjoy your trip.

We were there in mid-July. Rained throughout the nights and early in the a.m., clearing every day by 9:30 or so. We stayed 4 nights on Isla Carenera (Dona Mara)--extremely simple.
We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. . .going over to Bastimientos (sp?) and eating at Roots (I think), exploring the town and the cemetery up the hill, you know, just little nothing things.
Loved Red Frog Beach and the dolphin and snorkeling tour. Beautiful coral in the lagoon.
