Best Deal in Manuel Antonio?
We might be having to change our plans and we were wondering what the best deal in Manuel Antonio would be for February 5-7. I've looked around and most places seem to be around $100 a night. That's about our budget, but cheaper would be nice as long as it's a decent place. We're both in our early twenties, so it doesn't have to be spectacular. Thanks!

That's high season in a location that is visited by a large proportion of Costa Rica tourists. It may be hard to find much of a choice at this point. I would google for "Manuel Antionio Hotels", make your choices and then telephone them to ask about vacancies.

We stayed at Didi's bed and breakfast while visiting Manual Antonio. It's small, only three or four rooms and breakfast is included. It was fine for us and the owner was helpful. It's reviewed on trip advisor. When we went I think it was only about 50 dollars a night. Enjoy

I've suggested this place on other posts -- but I've never stayed there. It's just a place I've looked into. But it fits your budget, gets pretty decent reviews on Trip Advisor, and has a very convenient location. It's Hotel Mandarina: http://hotelmandarina.com
Looks pretty decent to me.

For what it's worth, we just got back. From what I was able to gather from several sources, hotel owners as well as newspapers, tourism is down a bit, Christmas peak season a little less crowded than usual, and it is expected that there will be a sharp decrease in tourism after the first of the year.
You may be able to bargain for a lower price, like in the old days! At any rate, I don't think you'll have any trouble finding a place to stay.

We stayed at the Hotel Arboleda in Manuel Antonio. It was something like $65 per night...not fancy but the cabins are right down next to the beach and they have a little restaurant right on the beach too. I thought it was a very good deal. Like I said, the rooms are a bit small and not fancy but we spent very little time in the room and loved that we could just walk down the little path to the beach.
