Belize in Aug./Sept. Am I nuts???
My husband and I are planning a trip to Belize - Stann Creek District. We have to take our vacation at the end of August but were concerned about the weather i Belize. Can anyone give me any insite on what the weather is like this time of year and if it is worth going? Also if anyone has stayed at the Almond Beach Resort, I would love your opinion. Looks fabulous but is it really? Thank you!!!

Haven't heard of Almond Beach but it gets some good press on Trip Advisor:

and you could try searching and then asking on the Belize Forum:

Our month in Belize from mid July to mid August, 2003 was a BLAST. We've found the summer months to be a great time to visit. We're heading down this summer for our 7th CA visit, this one to Honduras. In Belize the rain fell almost exclusively at night, though no one can predict what it will be like during the days you're there. There's a risk of hurricanes but slight. I say go and have a blast and then tell us all about it. Happy trails!

Almond Beach Resort is the sister resort of Jaguar Reef Lodge. They sit side by side. I think the rooms at Almond Beach are a bit more upscale.
"Looks fabulous but is it really?" - Depends on what you mean by fabulous? Do you want pure luxury and top high class? Probably not that. Is it a great place to stay with a lot of fun - it's the tops for that.
