Hello:
We are going to BA in July for a quick getaway from the kids. We have our flights booked and hotel (BoBo - Pop room) reserved. Now, we gotta figure out what to do once we arrive. We travel a lot with our toddlers and picked BA as it seemed more of a grown-up destination. So, what would you do and see? Anything special that happens in the winter that we should check out? We know it is going to be cold but we are prepared for that. Any advice?

Besides the usual touristic destinations, like riding horses in a estancia like Estancia los dos hermanos, www.estacialosdoshermanos.com the local press, La Nacion in Spanish and THE Buenos AIres Herald in English are tremendous for information on what is going on in town. Theaters, shows,night clubs,sports etc......I would buy them daily and read them carefully.

You started with a good choice ( BOBO) , try in their restaurant a) Sirloin steak b) Lomo raviolis !!! Great food , excellent service.

As posted , estancias are a good choice , many of them , Villa Maria in Maximo Paz is very good.
A chartered boat tour in the Delta is also nice, although might be cold.Good fishing
time for Pejerrey.

Hi , now I remember that in the winter there is the big show of LA RURAL in Palermo. This is a big fair showing and selling the best cattle, chickens, rabbits,horses, pigs.... all Argentinean children love to go there. So should it be on, do not miss it.
