Average daily food expense

I have been bugging my hubby to go to Buenos Aires, he has agreed yet we are going on a budget. The hotel includes breakfast, how much do you think we would spend per person per day on lunch and dinner. We rather have nicer dinners and lighter on-the-go lunches. Do you think $50.00 p/p or is this number too low? Please advise. Thanks!

with $50 US per person you will both eat like kings/queens. a bit beyond the budget level.

$50 a day per person is our planned food budget too, so I'm glad to hear that's within reason. We will do a splurge or two at restaurants like Casa Cruz, but not all the time so I think we can average things out.

Are picnics popular in BsAs parks? When in France that was one of our favorite things to do for lunch.

Take-out is extremely easy ( it seems like everyone will give you food to go) and there are wonderful parks everywhere.
You can definitely get a picnic and go to a park..many people take their lunches to parks here..
There are places that make food Just for Take out..(<i>
para llevar )</i>
