Arenal - The Springs

Has anyone visited the hot springs at Peace Lodge's new resort in Arenal? I'm wondering if that would be a fun way to spend an extra day in Arenal. We're already looking at doing a lot of adventure activities. Has anyone checked it out?

Hi, Marina - I looked on their web site, and it looks pretty elaborate. It looks like it's set a little outside of town.

We stayed at the Springs in January,on our first night in CR,since Peace Lodge was damaged by the Earthquake, and they accomodated us at the Springs,as we were heading to Arenal anyway.Yes,this property is over the top-beautiful setting ,gorgeous rooms, and environmentally-friendly construction. If budget was not a problem, definitely my first choice for a hot-spring resort in Arenal.I thought as a promotion, they were offering a very attractive hot-spring day rate at their resort.

We are going to either Eco Termales or the Springs next week. When do you leave, Volcanogirl?

toon, I saw that they had a price of $25 as a promotion, but now I think it's gone up to $40. We've already done Tabacon and Eco Termales, so thought we might try something new. I'm a huge fan of Eco Termales though - it seems there's never enough time to do everything we want to. Or never enough budget!

Kat, we're not going until July. If you visit the Springs, would you mind reporting back?

The Springs looks more touristy than EcoT, but also more fun to explore for my 6 year old boy. I think the $40 is a 2 day pass, which could be nice. Yes, we will be back June 26.

We didn't end up going to any hot springs- lots of rain after day hikes, etc, so we settled for the hotel pool, which was refreshing enough.
