Arenal Springs Resort
Not much info. on this newer place here, has anyone stayed there? And more importantly, is the lava view good from there right now? Arenal Paraiso is booked up, and I'm not interested in Tabacon even if it's a dead-on view.

I'm wondering if you're both talking of the same hotels or of two different ones with very same names? There is the The Springs Resort, which seems to be the one ninja is referring to, and there is Arenal Springs Resort, which may be the one the OP is referring to? Haven't stayed at either, just pointing out the different hotels.

I was wondering the same thing. Arenal Springs and The Springs are two different spots. rickandpat, the volcano hasn't had lava flow for quite a while so you probably won't see lava from anywhere you stay unless the volcano starts up again.
This map will show you where it was flowing most recently and the hotels that are in that zone. We like the Lost Iguana.

More fake poster/touts on this fairly plain little hotel
pretending to be something it is not
than any other Arenal hotel it must be hard to post up all
those fake touts on tripadvertizer all the time
Here is a real one on the "resort"
Hotel was simple. Putting your toilet paper in the garbage in your room was awkward. Nice rooms, great views, helpful staff. The restaurant was not too good. Not a big selection of appetizing entrees. Overall it was ok. There are no springs here and a small pool.
Bottom line: No, I would not recommend it to a friend
