Do not miss El Novillo just before Tabacon - looks like nothing but extremely delicious! We are picky! Do not under any circumstances eat dinner at Arenal Paraiso Steakhouse - worse meal i have had in my 46 years!

Best full buffet breakfast with omelet station is at Montana de Fuego in La Fortuna- and what a view! (neat, free, primitive hiking trail, and expensive spa too)

Thanks for the suggestions. Anyone else have any favorites? We are going to be there for 3nights and 21/2days.

Thanks for posting this. I was just about to do the same. I am staying at Arenal paraiso, and hear the breakfast is good, but to absolutely skip dinner there. Need some advice on dinner places.
