We're looking to stay close to San Pedro, preferrably walking distance. A pool would be nice, but it's not required. A/C would be great. A maid, cook, and cable TV are not necessary. We're just looking for a nice place with oceanfront views, 1-2 bedrooms, and maybe a hammock or two.

Also, the lodging section of www.ambergriscaye.com has a dozen or so privately owned houses offered for vacation rental.
Another option (and likely cheaper) would be one of the small condotels such as Xanadu, The Palms, Villas at Banyan Bay, Belizean Reef and others.
