Acapulco or Huatulco?

I wish somebody would help me decide between Aapulco - Las Brisas or Quinta Real - and Hautulco - Quinta Real. Thanks!

Huatulco..sooner than Acapulco.

Hotter, more peaceful , more places to see nearby.

Beach is nicer to walk down.

Oh, I just got back from a weeklong stay at Las Brisas in Acapulco. I haven't been to Huatulco so I can't make a comparison. Las Brisas is really far removed from the rest of the city. You have to take a cab everywhere--it's right off the highway so you cannot walk anywhere. That includes beaches and restaurants. And within the immense hotel grounds, you have to call for jeeps to pick you up. Sometimes, they take a while. On the other hand, the views of the entire Acapulco Bay are stunning. And it is a nice, peaceful place to stay. The private Beach Club is wonderful--takes about 10 minutes to get there. For walking access to the beaches, I suggest the Princess and nearby hotels. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Quinta Real IMO is the finest hotel group in Mexico & one of the finest in the world!

Thanks! I also wonder it would be healthy to swim in Acapulco...

Caroline, what made you pick Las Brisas? Was the private pool's water clean? Does it have a real beach - the Beach Club looked like a concrete platform to me!

Hualtulco for me prettier more laid back

less touristic less crime/drug/safety risk

than Acapulco.

Even Las Brisas was involved not long ago.

I'd pick Huatulco, because it's a smaller place. Acapulco is a much larger urban city.
