8 day itinerary for Buenos Aires?
My friend and I finally decided on a South America trip, vs Russia (go figure!!). We are planning on going mid-to-late June. We have flexible flights, so we will be able to fly out of Buenos Aires and/or Rio de Janeiro for either leg of the trip. What we were hoping to do is get the most out of Argentina, but still get a little more warmth and get up to Rio for part of the trip. Has anyone done a trip that includes these two destinations, and could recommend a good itinerary or a variation of that? I thank you in advance for your insight.
Regards,
J

You have 8 days total, yes, so like 4 for Rio and 4 for BA. I have been to Rio but not to BA, although I am planning a trip for next year there. I would do it exactly like that fly into one city and out of the other, spend 4 nights each, with a day trip to two from each city, maybe from Rio to one of the off shore islands there and from BA to Uruguay or one of the nearby estancias for a day of BBQ and horseback riding. If you are looking for the more "hip" type guides, try websites for timeout.com, concierge.com, igougo.com. Have fun planning your trip!

FOUR DAYS IN RIO DE JANEIRO AND FOUR DAYS IN BUENOS AIRES.
Good idea, some days in Argentina and some others in Brazil. Hurry up, June is less expensive than July.
You can make the 4 nights and round tickets for less than u$s 600 each one, which is not bad if the hotel is in front of the sea. Enjoy the sun in Rio.
However, I would stay one day/night in Iguazu if I were you.

If you decide to change for any other destinations in Argentina, the warmest are, not only for the sunshine but also for the human poitn of view, it is the NW of Argentina, SAlta and Jujuy area. SAlt Flats, and Cfayate highly recommended. But as it is honeymoon, maybe you do not care about scenery...
Good Luck!
