probably not any cheap fares because everyone takes the train for about $40 or so in less than 3 hours - quicker than the plane if you take getting to the airport, checking in, min time to check in, wait for luggage, etc. and then get into Geneva.

Why fly? Train go airport to airpot in less than 3 hours. www.sbb.ch for schedules (hourly) and fares.

There are no budget carriers between Zurich & Geneva. Even if there were, I'd still take the train. Many direct trains between Zurich & Geneva ~2.75 hrs - couldn't be simpler.

It's CHF77 for 2nd cls oneway but other wise, PalenQ is right. 2hr45min train seems quicker/more practical than flying (the flight itself is 45 minutes but you know lots more time before and afterwards). You will arrive in the city center by train. And if you by chance need to be at Geneva airport, that will be only 10 minutes more (no need to change the train), then only 5 minutes walk.

Agree- there are trains all day - take less time than flying when you consider getting to/fro airports, security lines etc - and definitely cost much less.

If you need to get from the Zürich airport to the Geneve airport, there are direct connections airport to airport that take 3 hours and 11 minutes. No changes at all.

From city center to city center, the trip needs 2 hours, 43-3 minutes.
