Zurich Passport Control

I'm flying from Los Angeles to Geneva via Zurich and want to know if a 1:50 layover is enough time to clear passport control in Zurich and make my Geneva connection. I'm assuming I must clear passport control/customs in Zurich.

Thanks

If this is a single ticket you are protected - and they will have to put you on the next planes. But- I would check the on time record or your incoming flight and the times o later flights to Geneva.

I've been through Immigration in Zurich a bunch of times (due to a client in Basle) and it has taken from 5 minutes to more than an hour - when bad weather delayed some planes - and a whole bunch landed at once.

We've made it through Zurich customs in about 20 minutes. They even held the connecting flight for us.

Zurich is a great airport to make a connection in. We have connected through there three times with absolutely no problems.

Last time through Zurich about a year ago it took me all of 21 min from the time I stepped off my arriving plane until I was at my departure gate.

YMMV.

Thanks opaldog and j62. I hope my transit is just as easy. It's been 15 years since we've been to Switzerland and I'm looking forward to returning. We'll be going from Geneva to Chamonix, Zermatt and the Jungfrau area, then back to Geneva. A total of 2 weeks.
