Zannos Melathron in PYRGOS?

TA travelers appear to like this place a lot, but it's in Pyrgos... It's coming up on a deal on SniqueAway (for which I also have a nice credit!) and I wondered if it was worth our consideration for our 5 nights of our honeymoon in Santorini. It's up against Lauda Hotel in Oia if that helps with the pointers Pros/cons?
Many thanks, as always!

I can't speak to the hotels, but I can say that what we liked most about our hotel (and probably Santorini overall) was being able to sit out on the deck/balcony and admire the caldera. I think that's something you could do at Lauda but not really in Pyrgos.

By reputation this is a very good hotel in a unique location. I've never seen it, but if the photo gallery on their website is any indication you will have fantastic views of the caldera, the sunset and the clifftop villages off in the distance. If you do decide to stay there be sure to go to Taverna Kallisti for a meal.

Lauda and Zannos hotels have really nothing in common...
Zannos is a luxury hotel while Lauda is a simple accommodation with a terrific caldera view.
For me Santorini means caldera, this is something you won't have in Zannos, even though Pyrgos is a nice village.
Don't know what your budget is ( you said you had a special deal for Zannos), but try to choose a hotel located directly at the caldera.

Thanks fellas. Think it's worth splitting our time between the two? We've got five nights... SniqueAway just announced the deal today: $259 USD/night instead of $415 (plus we have a credit here, which would save us some cash). Your advice is always appreciated!

Definitely. You won't regret spending a couple of nights in Oia!
