Zürich to St. Moritz Driving Route

I have looked at the map several times, but the most expeditious driving route from Zürich to St.Moritz is not all that obvious to me.

If I had to do it tomorrow, I would go by Chur because it seems to offer the longer stretch of autobahn. Then I would take the autoverlad option to avoid some of the narrow passes that seem to be the alternative.

Advice and opinions please.

If the weather plays along, you can use the Julier Pass route - it is a well built road.

I didn't know the Autoverlad runs in summer too, but it seems to be a good alternative in not so favourable weather.

Bob, the fastest route is most likely Autobahn via Chur to Thusis, the major road via Tiefencastel and Julier Pass to St. Moritz.

I personally like the Albula Pass route from Tiefencastel via Filisur-Bergün-Preda more. It is more scenic IMO, has less traffic (especially less trucks) and it runs along the famous rail route with all the viaducts, spiral tunnels etc. It's quite a sight! The road is not too narrow IMO and easy to drive.

The Julier Pass road is annoying with the heavy traffic - trucks and cars, bikers ...
