Yippee! Got my Edinburgh Military Tattoo tickets yesterday!

One more thing to tick off the list! I was lucky to get through online the first day the tickets went on sale, and we're in the section facing the castle. Four months tomorrow until we leave!

Try to restrain your excitement: it can be hard on the heart.

Hi twina49,
I'm confused. Do you mean you JUST purchased your tickets this week or in December 2007 when they went on sale, and you are just now posting about it? Last year they were completely sold out by early January and this is already end of March. We will be going next year, if I can get tickets, and I'm just trying to understand the process. I hear they sell out within days every year. Thank you.

I think they mean they have the tickets in their grubby little mitts

seems clear that she " was lucky to get through online the first day the tickets went on sale" and they received them in the mail on Saturday.

Congratulations twina!! You will love, LOVE the Tattoo. I've sat in that area twice and other part other times. It is great anywhere but the view from that end makes for the VERY best photos.

Padraig & Alan - Your concern and eloquence truly brings a tear to my eye (NOT!)

Michele - Yes, after I posted the message I thought I should have clarified that I bought the tickets in December but received them in the mail on Saturday. As far as the process goes, I got online as soon as the tickets went on sale but the site was unavailable due to excessive volume for about six hours, but I got in that day and got tickets in the best section!

Janis - thanks for the congratulations! As I said on the original post, it's one more item to tick off the list. I'm sure the four months will fly by quickly, particularly due to the fact that my daughter is being married on May 17. Trying to juggle the planning and logistics for both events has been quite challenging!
