Yet another TGV question; payment and terminology
I booked the tickets and now a couple of questions. In the past I had only a voucher that had to be picked up at the station and had to show the credit card I booked with.
This time I was able to print the tickets online from TGV-europe.com but the final booking page was in French (iDTGV site) Do I still have to present the credit card and do we still need to validate them in the little box?
Also, the ticket reads " voiture 11 haut place 81". Does that mean it's on the second level? Will there be an issue with each of us having a 20" rollaboard and a small tote?
Sorry, that's more than a couple of questions but thanks in advance!

Yes
Will there be an issue with each of us having a 20" rollaboard and a small tote? No, as long as you can lift your luggage.

The conductor will just scan the flashcode on the ticket. There is no validation for self-printed tickets.
And they have even stopped asking to see ID in recent years (unless the passenger looks weird).

They've asked me for ID for PREMS more than once, they are supposed to, after all. I don't look weird that I know.
There wouldn't be any point to validating a piece of paper you've printed out6 of the computer. You could always print another, for one thing, but the whole reason you are allowed to print them is because they are prepaid and nonrefundable. Which is why validating would serve no purpose. The whole purpose of validating a ticket is so it cannot be used again or to get a refund.
