GreenDragon, there are only 2 of us and we're renting a Ford Fiesta so that shouldn't be a problem. Bob, I don't know about the Arans - definitely a possibility, but I've read that Inishbofin is perhaps more "authentic" and it's certainly closer to Clifden. Advice welcome! By the way, you might consider removing or at least tying on your hubcaps. We lost three of ours and ended up buying a new set to replace them. Those roads are so narrow, and vegetation brushes the wheels as you drive down these roads.

Avis was perfectly okay with out replacement hubcaps.
