Windsor Lodgings

Hi everyone, hoping someone familiar with Windsor can help.

I'll be in the UK for the first time and looking to be in Windsor the last two nights before I fly home out of Heathrow. Since it's Ascot week, a lot of accommodations are booked.

I think there are rooms left at a guesthouse/pub called Trooper, and also at the Travelodge; or I could stay at the Quality Inn closer to Heathrow and come in to Windsor for that last full day.

Anyone familiar with these places enough to express a preference?

Thanks very much!

The Travelodge is fine - but don't delay. By the time you get back to the site they may be booked up. That is a VERY busy time in the area.

I haven't been but have recently done some research on the Travelodge. It's location is really great as it's very near the Castle.

I don;t know what your budget is but we;ve stayed a few times at the sir Christopher Wren house. he rooms were large and comfortable, the breakfast, included, was bountiful and it was a great experience.
