Has anyone done any of the wimbledon pkgs? I checked out a couple and they include a 5 star hotel which i don't n eed especially since I would have to pay a huge single supplement. Is there any way to get tickets where I can c hoose my own hotel? thanks. jb

well, if you had posted this 2 or 3 weeks ago we could have told you how to enter the ballot for tickets. But it is too late for that now since today was the deadline for submitting applications.

Tickets are sold every day of the tournament - but you need to queue very early.

I live near the courts. (and heartily dislike tennis) but what I would say is if you can get tickets, then make your own accomodation arrangements.
The courts aren't actually in Wimbledon - they're in Southfields, which is on the District line.
So it's nice and easy to get to most places from there (well, I manage it everyday!)
