Conan O'Brien Standby tickets?

We want to standy by for Conan tickets. The website says to be there by 9 am. When should we REALLY get there to ensure getting standby tickets? What are my chances for actually getting standby tickets?

Thanks!

If the location is NBC, Rockefeller Center, across from the Today Show in front of the NBC Experience Store I can tell you that I observed the line for those tickets about 3 weeks ago.

We were in the area about 8:30 am and the line was maybe 40 - 50 people total. We walked around looking at the Studios and watching them broadcast the Today show. When we came by the line again they were handing out tickets, which would have been about 9 am. We didn't stand there and watch, but it did appear as though everyone in that line would get a ticket.

So...as far as what time to get in line now that the summer season is in full swing, probably go at least an hour early. But, you may not need to go very early at all judging by what I observed.

Good luck. When we were in NYC we had a reserved spot for the Good Morning America show which required us to be there at 6:30 am. All the standbys for that show were able to get in to see the show. Have a great trip to NY!

The word from some members of a "Talk Show Forum" that I found on the web was to get there by 8:15 am for standby tickets given out at 9 am. My son and I got there (Fri. June 27) at 8 and by that time there were 76 people ahead of us. A rep passed out 75 standby tickets (my son and I were nos. 77 and 78- !) BTW, on our way in, we asked the couple at the head of the line what time they arrived--5:30. Also, I learned there are 189 seats in the studio audience.
