will i get there on the train?
Can I buy a train ticket from say venice to munich and just use one ticket, or will I have to get off and buy another ticket to connect to Munich at the stop? My husband and I are traveling France-Itay-Germany-Netherlands....and is it easier to wait and get my tix in europe when I get to my destination and buy the next destination's tix??? Merci!

You can buy just one ticket from Venice to Munich. When you get to Venice go to the train station and buy your ticket. I would suggest waiting until you get to Europe since it will be cheaper than buying in US from RailEurope for instance.
You can probably buy all your tickets in one place if you know your exact itinerary. If you don't have a set itinerary just buy your next ticket when you get to the next destination. It's very easy to do. Many ticket sellers, especially in large towns/cities, will speak English. To avoid confusion you might want to write down your destination on a piece of paper along with first or second class choice and the time you want to leave (in military time).

Hi Jcat
You can buy a ticket originating in one country and ending in another country, but you can't buy a ticket in one country that is entirely within other countries.
Marseille for Santa Margherita
Buy this ticket in Marseille
SM to Venice in Italy
Venice to Munich in Italy
Munich to Bremen in Germany
Bremen to Amsterdam in Germany
Check with www.railsaver.com to see if a railpass will save you money. It's possible that on this trip it will.
Do you know what trains you want to take?

Hey Ira, I know I want second class with reservations, and I think point to point tix are cheaper, I went to a German site for schedules and to www.scnf.fr for some prices....Is it easy to get a reservation 2 days in advance, is this too short notice? This whole train thing is the only thing I am worried about..
