Wild goats; Donegal..

yesterday we saw a herd of wild goats on a mountain between Glenties and Letterkenny. The area was fenced, presumably because of the main road, but such a sight they made. Old Billy's with great curving horns, tiny new kids, all colours. Roaming free, untethered. Magical on a bright May morning.....

When you kill a mountain goat, be sure to cook it very slowly.

Once is just about bearable; twice was pushing it.. three times is past the limit.

OK; I quit. Life is too short and too beautiful...

The last time I was in Co. Donegal, I believe that my driving buddy grew quickly tired of "stop, over there...another one!" as I snapped photos of the goats and the sheep. Of course, they could have just as easily tired of stopping at every ruin, be it cottage or castle. I have a huge catalog of photos from Ireland. One of these days, I will determine what exactly I should do with them.

I always smile when I read your posts. They truly do bring Ireland to me in a special way.

Slan Beo,

Bit
